Sending in clothing Prisoners can take two property boxes into prison measuring 70cm x 55cm x 25cm each. The items they are allowed to take in depend upon their IEP level (Incentives and Earned Privileges Scheme) in prison: Basic, Standard or Enhanced. You can find more information at https://prisonreformtrust.org.uk/adviceguide/property-in-prison/. Prisoners can normally have clothing sent in within the first 28 days. After this time, different prisons have different rules about this so it is best to call the prison switchboard number directly to find out more. There is a section on sending clothes/property on each prison’s gov.uk page: https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/prisons-in-england-and-wales. You can also make contact with the Family Services Team that works in the prison (i.e. Pact, Nepacs, Spurgeons, Barnardo's). Page last reviewed: 08 March 2024 Manage Cookie Preferences
